Position Details: 

POSITION:                            Full Time Social Worker
LOCATION:                           CHARLOTTE PUBLIC SCHOOLS - Parkview Elementary (DK-3)
ASSIGNMENT / RESPONSIBILITY:             The Social Worker is to identify and assist students to overcome barriers that interfere with learning through the use of assessment, counseling, consultation, coordination of school and community resources, and program development.  The Social Worker utilizes knowledge of human behavior, social, cultural and community influences to help create a positive learning climate. Provides case management services.
QUALIFICATIONS:             The job requires completion of a Master of Social Work (MSW). Experience in school setting desirable. Certification or Licensure: Social Work approval through the State of Michigan, and Licensed with the State of Michigan Board of Examiners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations. High moral character, and good attendance record. Polite, courteous, and tactful with internal and external customers. Ability to be an ambassador for the organization at all times.
