Position Details: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years experience at elementary level
  • Master’s degree with emphasis in areas of administration, curriculum, reading, supervision, or child development
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, and public relations skills
  • Facilitation and consensus-building skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in working with students, parents, and professional staff
  • Demonstrated leadership in school management, curriculum, instruction, and staff development
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication
  • Previous experience as an elementary school principal preferred but not required
  • Knowledge and experience in literacy education and the use of student results to improve instruction
  • Meet School Administrator continuing education requirements
