Allied Health Technology Teacher - Part Time

Position Details: 

Location:        Lakeshore High School, Lakeshore Public Schools, Stevensville, MI  49127

Hours:        Approximately 20 per week

This is a high school teaching position in Allied Health, which is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.  The Allied Health program is a series of prescribed courses for grades 11-12 that provides a strong foundation in the health sciences.  Participation in Allied Health prepares students for a variety of careers in healthcare, such as a certified nurse’s aide, and students may be eligible to obtain certifications and internships in many additional areas of Allied Health.


  • Current licensure as a registered health professional in the State of Michigan.   Minimum 4,000 hours of relevant work experience in the past 6 years.


  • Career and Technology Education Endorsement (VS):  Health Sciences (CIP #51.0000).


  • Good interpersonal skills and desire to work successfully with students.
  • Successful history of dealing with healthcare and personnel.
  • Knowledge of how to integrate academics into career and technical education instruction.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to, use technology in the classroom, including the integration for student use of technology.


  • Provide rigorous and relevant instruction in the content area and general workplace readiness.
  • Support students in industry relevant competitions and industry/professional exploration activities.  Show evidence of project-based learning (e.g., competitions, capstone events, etc.)
  • Attend all relevant professional development set by the school district and Berrien County CTE.
