Credentials and Responsibilities

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate, with an EI Endorsement
  • Knowledgeable of the development and execution of function-based Positive Behavior Support Plans
  • Highly organized and effective at meeting deadlines
  • Collaborative style with peers, parents, and children
  • Ability to use data to inform decisions and write goals
  • Strong vision for student success
  • Partner of general education teachers and special education team members
  • Ability to develop a shared vision of responsibility and support
  • Willingness to discuss in depth the meaning of FAPE and LRE
  • Innovative in use of technology to promote student learning
  • Understanding of authentic literacy instruction
