Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher – Bloomfield Hills High School

2018-2019 School Year

Applications are being accepted for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher. This is a Bloomfield Hills Education Association (“BHEA”) bargaining unit position

Responsible to:  Deaf and Hard of Hearing Supervisor


  • Valid Michigan teacher certificate with Hearing Impaired Endorsement (SL)
  • Must meet the definition of Highly Qualified teacher
  • Additionally, applicants must have current knowledge and experience in:
    • English Language
    • Excellent American Sign Language skills
    • Teaching Experience with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
    • Experience with development of student schedules, collaboration with general education teachers and provision of tutorial assistance to students

COMPENSATION BENEFITS:  Pursuant to the BHEA bargaining unit agreement.

STARTING DATE:  August 27, 2018*

*  New Staff Orientation: August 23 & 24, 2018 – Attendance Required
