Special Education Consultant – Autism Spectrum Disorder

SALARY DETAILS:

$94,018 - $107,503 annually / Exempt position / 12-month work year

IN THIS ROLE:

You will provide professional learning, technical assistance and consulting services to local school districts and public school academies within Oakland County.

 

WHAT WE NEED:

We are seeking an energetic and collaborative team member with exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills to provide consultation and professional learning to local districts on the implementation of evidence-based practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will serve as a resource and liaison to external agencies and professional organizations and will collaborate with general education professionals to maximize achievement for all students.

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education.  
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with ASD endorsement.
  • Five or more years of related experience including experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • START IT trained or Effective Practices Leadership Initiative (EPLI) trainer.
  • Knowledge of IDEA and MARSE.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suites.
  • Experience creating high quality professional learning experiences for adult learners.
  • Ability to facilitate adult learners in project development and program planning.
  • Knowledge of evidence based practices (EBPs) for ASD.

 

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

Salary Range of $94,018 - $107,503 annually.
