Rate of Pay:                            Starting Salary - $34,033
                                      (Non Union Coordinator Pay – 180 days)
 
Job Description: 
In cooperation with the building principal, teaching staff, and parents, provide Math interventions to at-risk students.  Serve as a liaison between community resources and school staff to insure appropriate articulation to benefit at-risk students as needed.
 
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in related field
2. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in Mathematics
3. Familiarity with at-risk/math intervention best practice
4. Knowledge of and commitment to best practices as supported by current research to teach the  District’s adopted curriculum; willingness to attend workshops to strengthen skills
5. Ability to use assessments and student data to drive meaningful instruction
6. Ability to be a self starter.  Extensive experience in remediation required
 
Requirements:

  1. Collect, organize and share data related to at-risk students and intervention programs
  2. Make direct contact with students and parents regarding students’ academic progress and/or needs
  3. Assist in the identification of at-risk students
  4. Support daily classroom instruction with push in/pull out services to at-risk students
  5. Maintain a caseload of students, providing outreach services
  6. Support at-risk students, families, teachers, and administrators in providing students with needed math interventions.
  7. Refer students to before and after school study programs for at-risk student to get tutoring and additional assistance with mathematics
  8. Collect data on effectiveness of interventions and student growth
