Job Summary

The School Registrar’s primary responsibilities will be transcribing student grades into student information systems and fulfilling transcript requests. In addition, the School Register will prepare and maintain student records and cumulative files for Uplift Michigan Academy.  This position reports directly to the Director of Administrative and Student Services.

Desired Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience as school registrar
  • Experience or knowledge of student information systems
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
  • Strong knowledge of computer operating systems and proficient with G Suite applications
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, adhering to schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to commute to Stephenson, Michigan as necessary.
  • Ability to attend in-person professional development workshops

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Accurately transcribe student grades from all high schools attended into student information system(s), contact previous school(s) as needed to ensure official transcripts are received.
  • Liaise with registrars from previous schools when necessary to ensure accurate course transcription.
  • Process and transmit requests for transcripts in a timely manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
  • Work closely with counseling team and mentors to provide transcripts for graduation plans, course selection, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain student records and cumulative files, in Stephenson office, for Uplift Michigan Academy.
  • Attend required professional development workshops
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
