GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of the position fall into two categories; direct instruction and instructional leadership... As an instructional expert, the assistant dean is responsible for providing direct support to the upper school teachers as directed/delegated by the dean of instruction.  Support of teachers is evident through coaching, mentoring, modeling, observing, planning, and guiding teachers in best practices for teaching and learning.  This position reports to the Upper School Dean of Instruction.
