The Hale Area Schools Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent with certain duties as K-5 Principal to begin work July 1, 2019. The Board is being assisted in the search by Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB). This posting is open to all candidates.
Hale is located in beautiful northeast Michigan.  Residents and visitors greatly enjoy all forms of four season outdoor recreational and sporting activities. The district serves approximately 350 students pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Hale Area Schools equips students with the innovative and technological skills to become successfully employed and contributing members of the global society.
The Board is seeking a superintendent with certain duties as K-5 principal who is a strong leader with excellent people skills and a solid background in teaching and administration. The superintendent/principal will partner with an additional administrator, teachers, and support staff and should be an effective communicator with staff and community, actively work with the Board and community to set and reach goals, and understand finance. This educational leader will be ethical, honest, and friendly.

Salary and Contract Information

The district will offer a competitive wage and benefit package (salary range $95,000 to $100,000) that reflects the experience and education of the candidate chosen as the next Superintendent/Principal.
