Job Description

Position Opportunity:

Under the general supervision of the administrator and working in collaboration with the Business Unit team, ISD staff and constituent district personnel, this position provides accounting, budget support, reporting and data analysis for the Business Office and Local Education Agency (LEA) and Public School Academy (PSA) business services districts. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum of two to four years of recent and relevant experience in accounting positions.
  • Excellent customer service sills to develop and maintain positive relationships with constituent district staff, internal department staff, Michigan Department of Education and taxing units.
  • Ability to evaluate information from multiple sources in order to assure compliance with regulations and policies including but not limited to Ingham ISD Board policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to implement new initiatives for continuous improvement of processes and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills with technology tools to create complex spreadsheets and databases, enter and manipulate data, create and generate reports and documents in a user-friendly manner.
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a team member.
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, operations and terminology.
