Position Details: 

Position: High School/Middle School Guidance Counselor
Status: Full time (0.6 FTE at High School, 0.4 FTE at Middle School)
Salary: Per Teacher Master Agreement
JOB GOAL:  Under the general supervision of the High School & Middle School Principals, this position provides mentoring, guidance, and career counseling for middle school and high school students. This person plays a key role in master scheduling for both the middle school and high school.
An individual shall possess, upon application, the following minimal experience or its satisfactory equivalent:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, with Valid Guidance and Counseling Endorsement (NT).
  • Experience in standardized testing.
  • Working knowledge of master scheduling, preferred.
  • Experience in High School Counseling, preferred.


  • Provide personal student guidance counseling
  • Conduct group and individual meetings to assist students
  • Coordinate and facilitate parent, student, and staff meetings
  • Coordinate standardized testing
  • Work with students and staff to develop educational plans
  • Assist in the creation of class master scheduling
  • Communicate with parents and community members
  • Uphold confidentiality in all situations 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
