Position Details: 

Title: Data Specialist

 

Goal:  To assist the Director of Curriculum and Director of Technology with support on all of the data-driven products and processes within the district.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Pass criminal background and unprofessional conduct check
  • Ability to communicate technical information and data to non-technical staff
  • Ability to input and analyze data across a variety of platforms
  • Ability to administer and facilitate data-driven processes
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and professionalism
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Social Media proficient (Facebook, Twitter, Website, Mobile Apps)
  • Physical ability to perform job function (with regards to lifting and bending)

 

Job Duties:

  • Assist with the facilitation of district and state assessment programs (MISTAR, NWEA, M-STEP, WIDA, SAT, etc.)
  • Maintain databases for Think Central and Renaissance Learning
  • Analyze data from district’s system to assist Director of Technology of license needs and computers spec of programs
  • Refine and analyze data to assist Director of Curriculum regarding district and state assessments (MISTAR, NWEA, M-STEP, WIDA, SAT, and others) using district and state applications (BAA Secure Site, MiSchoolData.org, Illuminate DnA, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems with RESA and other vendors when problems arise
  • Assist the technology department with Helpdesk calls as needed
  • Use the helpdesk system to answer tickets on data driven applications
  • Assist with compiling, entering, and analyzing data for State and Federal Programs/Grants and Special Populations
  • Assist with data entry, data analysis, and the implementation of district curriculum and instruction initiatives
  • Setup, monitor, and maintain Facebook, Twitter, Website, Mobile App for district and schools

 

 

Reports to:       Director of Curriculum and Director of Technology

 

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Install/upgrade district data driven programs
  • Maintain a schedule for preventive maintenance on district data driven programs
  • May require work during off business hours; Summer/Evenings
  • Perform other related tasks and functions as assigned

 

Evaluation:

Performance of this job evaluated by the Director of Curriculum in accordance with provisions of the Board policy#5800

Starting:        July 1, 2017 

SALARY/BENEFITS: 

  • $17.84/hour
